Many Contributors are worried about the impending work and growing wiki size that will come out of EA's Star Wars Battlefront II. While I love mods and I know how much time people have put into the mod pages on this wiki, I feel that we need to clean up this wiki a lot if we are going to have something manageable.
Look at the FANDOM:Battlefront app for example, some categories can be cluttered with mod content.
Imagine a new player, who played the new Battlefront games and wanted a crack at the originals. They will be entering a brand new game with different mechanics and everything. That person will take a look at our wiki and get confused about stuff such as "Old Republic" or "Republic Commandos" (both are great mods btw). Anyone who tries the old Battlefront games wont go to mods right away, they are new, they will try the basic maps and units and eras first. Wikis are intended to help out people who are uninformed on various topics. Not for those who know mostly everything and know how to wade through fake and theoretical things(trying to make an analogy to mods).
Lastly, in order to keep our wiki manageable we have to delete all the extra pages mods create, and keep improving on the ones we already have. Lets say we had an error on the Dark Trooper's page, it could be buried for months because of more contributors working on mod pages, which dont even contribute to the wiki's purpose.
Thank you for reading this, I hope my post will influence some to ditch mod content.
