Anakin Skywalker had been appointed Darth Vader, who had helped kill Mace Windu and assist Chancellor Palpatine in becoming Emperor Palpatine. Anakin, or then Vader, had a task to kill Jedi on Coruscant and next go to kill the Separatists on Mustafar. He then had an encounter with his wife, Padmé Amidala because he thought that Padmé brought Obi-Wan Kenobi to kill him, even though he snuck into her spacecraft. Padmé later died after having lost the will to live. Vader faced Obi-Wan, but was defeated due to his blind arrogance in the dark side. Vader was then brought to the Empire Medical Centre by the Emperor where he was created into a horrible monster with black armor and mask. Darth Vader ruled the galaxy alongside his master. He is the father of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa, father-in-law of Han Solo, and grandfather of Kylo Ren.

Gameplay

Anakin Skywalker is a fast-paced fighter, and wields a blue-bladed lightsaber. His attacks consist of rapid strikes. Anakin Skywalker is capable of jumping four times consecutively, enabling him to reach high altitudes fast. When jumping, Anakin is able to attack with a single swipe. When sprinting, Anakin can attack with a decently accurate flurry of attacks, which stops his momentum.

Trivia

• The in-game attack stance for Anakin is the Form 3, Soresu. The stance should be the Form 5, Djem So as used by him in the Star Wars universe.
• In Coruscant - Operation: Knightfall, Anakin Skywalker is seen in a different skin than usual. Like in the film, Episode III, Anakin is now wearing his Jedi robe over his tunic, as well as putting his hood up. This skin can only be seen in this particular level. This is most likely to follow the film.
• Anakin's lightsaber moves in this game are exactly the same as the moves used by Obi-Wan Kenobi, despite the fact that they employ two totally different dueling styles.
• He is voiced by Mat Lucas in Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Skins

Unlike all other Heroes (other than Luke Skywalker) Anakin has a separate skin in the Coruscant - Operation: Knightfall level. The skin adds a cape and a hood, similar to his appearance as a Sith in the end of Revenge of the Sith. Curiously, the lower half of his tunic and surcoat are missing in this skin, leaving his light brown leggings exposed.
