BB-8

Hero BB-8 is a Resistance hero in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II. He is part of the BB Update that was originally scheduled for January 30, 2020,^[1] though the update was postponed^[2] to February 3, 2020.^[3]

BB-8 is the first droid hero for the Light Side, and unlike his counterpart, BB-9E, he has more offensive abilities. ^[4] He is able to jump and his movement speed is comparable to that of a Separatist Droideka in wheel form.^[4]

Overview

An offensive hero with some support abilities.

His Rolling Charge is similar to the Ovissian Gunner and Han Solo's charges.

Resistance Backing can be paired with Rey's Insight to reveal enemies to his allies. It also has an effect that revealed enemies will take more damage, somewhat like Count Dooku's Expose Weakness, and in addition to that scrambles their radar.

If he is in a sticky situation, BB-8 can use Cable Spin to deal very high damage.^[3]

BB-8's Technical Support makes him count as two units, making him a vital unit in Supremacy, Co-Op and Instant Action. His Swift Reaction increases the cooldown speed of nearby friendlies' abilities, pair that with Finn's Big Deal to greatly boost allies. He also has a flashlight.^[3]
