The BTL Y-Wing is the primary bomber used by the Galactic Republic in the Dark Times Rising Son mod. The starship have a full armour covering the fuselage and engines and a bubble-turret provided clear view for the gunner, unlike the original Y-Wing used by the Rebels.

The BTL Y-wing was designed as a bomber, using such weapons as proton bombs. The bubble-turret utilised two light ion cannons for defence against enemy starfighters. It also was equipped with two medium laser cannons mounted on the front of the starfighter.

- This Y-wing first appeared in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars series in Yellow or Red colour schemes.
- This Y-wing also appears in the Dark Times II: Rising Son mod in the Dark Times era.
- In Star Wars Battlefront II, the V-Wing Interceptor takes the role as the Republics Starbomber unit.
