[[File:Ben_Kenobi.jpg|thumb|400px]]'''Ben Kenobi''' was orignally Obi-Wan Kenobi. He lives in Tatooine as hermit, watching over young Luke Skywalker. He had revealed his true identity to Luke and about his past and father. He got a message from Luke's droid, R2-D2, which showed Princess Leia pleading for help for the old Jedi, now that she was in the hands of The Empire. He talked Luke into going with him to Alderaan and becoming a Jedi like him. Shortly afterward, they arrived at Mos Eisley, which the old Ben called "wretched hive of scum and villainy." They were in search for a pilot and Ben thinks this is the best place to start. Soon they found Han Solo and his furry Wookiee wingman, Chewbacca. After a few deals, they made an arrangement to meet at a hanger. Soon upon the hanger, Luke impulsively exclamed that the smuggler's ship looks like "[[Millennium Falcon|a piece of junk]]." Shotly after, stormtroopers began to open fire upon the crew, they where force to enter the Falcon and blast off into orbit. When the six of them where in space, they where soon persued by Imperial TIE Fighter. After outrunning the star destroyer, the Falcon jumps to hyperspace. Meanwhile, Ben then taught his young pupil about the force and how it flows and can control ones destiny. Upon excaping from hyperspace, they where caught in the asteroid remains of Alderaan. Soon, Luke exclamed that he saw a TIE head to what to be a "[[Death Star: Interior|small moon]]." It turns out the "moon" is actually Death Star. Then without warning, they were captured by a tractor beam by the Death Star. Later Ben fought his [[Anakin Skywalker|former apprentice]] [[Darth Vader]], but sacrifise himself for Luke and the others to escape. After his death, Ben appered in a form of a Force Ghost, and led Luke through his Jedi training, also with the help of [[Yoda]].

In A New Hope Ben Kenobi is an elderly hermit living on the desert planet of Tatooine, where he has been watching the son of his former student, a boy named Luke Skywalker, who by chance encounters Kenobi after a Tusken Raider attack. Kenobi and Skywalker depart on a journey that eventually leads to Kenobi's death at the hands of his former student, now known as Darth Vader.
