Changes: Confederacy of Independent Systems

The Confederacy of Independent Systems, or more commonly known as the CIS or just the Confederacy in-game, is one of the four playable factions in Star Wars: Battlefront, Star Wars: Battlefront II, and the spin-offs Star Wars: Battlefront: Renegade Squadron and Star Wars: Battlefront: Elite Squadron. The CIS appears exclusively in the Clone Wars era, excluding the Rise of the Empire campaign mission, Mustafar - Tying up Loose Ends, which takes place in the Galactic Civil War era.

Some players feel that the the CIS is overpowered compared to the Republic as the B2 super battle droid and the IG-100 MagnaGuard have a better reload time, and better armor strength than their Republic counterparts. Also the CIS have the [[Droideka]], which is easily the most powerful ingame unit. Some remnants of the CIS later became part of the [[Rebel Alliance]].
