The DL-18, or DL-18 Blaster Pistol, is a Blaster Pistol in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II that can be used by the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire.

Star Wars Battlefront[]

The DL-18 is a Blaster Pistol featured in Star Wars Battlefront. It was added as a free weapon alongside the DLT-19X Targeting Rifle in the Outer Rim Expansion Pack.

The pistol is a semi-automatic weapon with medium range and a massive cooldown, meaning it can fire multiple shots before it overheats. However, while its damage is fairly good, it will require one more shot than the DT-12 to kill an enemy soldier.

The Hutt Contract needed to unlock the weapon (Bounty Hunter I) requires achieving 3 Blaster Pistol Streaks (Get 7 kills with a Blaster Pistol in a round and it will count as a streak) and getting 15 kills with the Scout Pistol.

This weapon made a small appearance in Return of the Jedi when Luke grabbed this blaster from a guard with his Force powers. It also appears in the Clone Wars TV show, used by Turk Falso in season one, and in Rebels, where it was the blaster of choice of Kanan Jarrus.

The DL-18 is a primary weapon for the Officer class in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II unlocked after getting 50 kills with the Officer in Co-Op.

Overview[]

The DL-18, simply put, is a more damaging SE-44C without its fully automatic fire. However, the Repeating Mode Mod enables it to fire automatically, though its rate of fire is lower than the SE-44C with the Rapid Fire mod.

  • Added.

Battle on Scarif Update

  • Reduced heat per bullet (0.08->0.05).
    • Note: this change was made without changing the weapon's Improved Cooling mod, which had the same effect of reducing the heat per shot from 0.08 to 0.05. As a result, there was no difference between having the Improved Cooling mod equipped or unequipped. This issue was later fixed in the May 28th Patch.

May 28th Patch

  • Fixed an issue where the Improved Cooling mod wouldn't increase how many shots the weapon could fire before overheating.
