The Dark Side — A screenshot of singleplayer missions where players can take control of Dark Side characters and weapons.

Within DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II, there are always two opposing factions within an engagement, one from the "Light Side" and one from the "Dark Side". The Dark Side includes the Separatists, the Galactic Empire, and the First Order and is also a general term used for anything associated with them. This includes, but is not limited to:

Heroes
Troopers
Vehicles
Weapons

...that are used by the Separatists, the Galactic Empire, or the First Order.

The Light Side is the direct opposite to the Dark Side.
