Kreia was an exiled Jedi who joined the Sith Empire and became Darth Traya. After the death of Darth Malak, she took over as Dark Lord of the Sith. Traya had two apprentices, Sion and Nihilus who, like all Sith, overthrew their master and took over the Empire. She later became the "mentor" of the Jedi exile Meetra Surik who she used as a pawn in a plot to destroy the Sith and the Jedi, but the exile became her demise.
