The E-60R Rocket Launcher (called a Missile Launcher in Battlefront 1), was issued to many of the B1 Battle Droids of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Battle Droids that were specialized with rocket launchers then became known as Assault Droids and Droid Marines.
After the heavy vehicles of the Separatists failed to stop the Republic's walkers at the Battle of Geonosis, the Techno Union designed this inexpensive yet effective rocket launcher to support the troops of the Droid Army. The weapons were produced by Baktoid Armour Workshop. It's rockets, which emit a bright purple glow, are capable of homing in on a target at close range. The rockets cause high damage and have a large blast radius, making them deadly against enemy turrets and infantry.
