The DH-17 Blaster Rifle is a Blaster Rifle that was cheap to manufacture and easy to use, service and replace. It was a good weapon to use in arming soldiers but was typically not used over weapons like the A280 Blaster Rifle, as the latter was considered to be more effective. This weapon's in-game scope is actually red if you play using the 1st person view. Depending on the variant, it would have a magazine size of 25-50 shots and hold 200-300 shots of total ammo.
The DH-17 Blaster Rifle held its place in galactic history, being most prominently used by the Rebel Alliance and also used by the Bespin Wing Guards and the Royal Naboo Security Force.

- The DH-17 Blaster Rifle has two different appearances in the Star Wars continuities;
- The version seen in Battlefront is considered to be part of the Legends continuity and exists only there
- In Canon, the blaster looks markedly different, being more similar to the DH-17 Blaster Pistol.
