"In a rare opportunity to strike the heart of a Resurgent-class Star Destroyer, the Resistance focuses all their efforts to best the First Order on their own turf."
Instant Action description

The Resurgent-class Star Destroyer, also known as the Resurgent-class Battlecruiser, the Resurgent Star Destroyer, or the First Order Star Destroyer and in Heroes vs. Villains Jakku: Resurgent-class Star Destroyer, is a capital ship for the First Order in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II. It is featured in the campaign mission "Inferno" and the multiplayer modes Supremacy and Starfighter Assault.

Overview[]

In the campaign, the flagship First Order Star Destroyer of Gideon Hask, the Retribution, appears in the Resurrection story mode. It is sabotaged by Iden Versio and Zay Versio. Hask gets shot by Iden and falls into the hyperdrive generators with an electric death, but not before he shoots Iden in the abdomen with a blaster pistol. Iden later dies from the shot. Soon afterwards, the Star Destroyer is forced out of hyperspace near Starkiller Base just as the Resistance destroys it in battle.

In Starfighter Assault, the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer serves as the primary objective for Resistance forces to attack and the First Order to defend in the map Unknown Regions. The Resistance must disable the sub systems of the Star Destroyer along with escaping Atmospheric Assault Landers before the Star Destroyer can be fully destroyed.

In Supremacy, the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer is featured as an objective for the First Order to defend and the Resistance to board and destroy.

Trivia[]

  • There is an Easter egg in the 2nd phase of Supremacy. In the mess rooms the command posts are in, there is a food distributor in the middle. If the cool down button is held for a few seconds, the door on it closes and re opens with a tray of food visible.
  • There is an Easter egg for " Matt the Radar Techincan", from the popular Saturday Night Live skit. His outfit is located in the cafetaria being ironed.
