The Hoth Dish Turret, identified as a Particle Cannon in Battlefront 2, is a Rebel heavy artillery turret that was designed for the defense of Hoth during the Battle of Hoth during the Galactic Civil War. In the game, it fires a powerful yellow laser blast, which can be charged up to be even more powerful. It is very effective against AT-ATs and AT-STs. While it can kill most Infantry with just one hit, the turret is slow to turn. It is best to use it on the walkers by aiming at their weak spot, such as the neck of the AT-AT.

Trivia[]

In the movie Empire Strikes Back, the dish turret is seen firing on Imperial AT-AT walkers with little to no effect. However, in the Battlefront games, the turret is much more effective against AT-ATs.
In another difference with the movie, the dish turret in the games fire yellow energy bolts as opposed to red ones in the movie.
