A Hoth Dish Turret
The Hoth Dish Turret, identified as a Particle Cannon in the Battlefront 2, was a Rebel heavy artillery turret that was designed for the defense of Hoth during the Battle of Hoth during the Galactic Civil War. In the game, it has a powerful yellow laser blast, which can be charged-up to be even more powerful. It is very effective against AT-ATs and AT-STs. While it can kill most Regular Infantry with just one hit, the turret is slow to turn. It is best to use it on the walkers by aiming at their weak spot, the neck of the AT-AT.
Trivia
- Oddly, in the movie, the bolt has no effect on the AT-ATs, as the bolts just bounce off the walker's armored hull.
- While the turret fires red bolts in the movie, it fires yellow bolts in the games.
- In SWBF1 the turrets moves slowly but in SWBF2 it moves much faster.
- Unlike the movie, which states that the turret is outdated, the Battlefront version seems like a powerful advance artillery.
- Powering up the turret doesn't really make a big difference in the power and lethalness
