- In Star Wars: Renegade Squadron, IG-88 uses two blaster rifles at the same time. They share the appearance of E-11 blaster rifles but never run out of ammo, and they are powerful enough that they can quickly destroy any Rebel vehicle including tanks.
- In Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back , IG-88 is seen on the Executor with two blaster rifles, One looks like an E-11 blaster and the another looks like an DLT-20A that has a similar design with the E-17d sniper rifle.
- He is one of the few heroes to not return in the DICE remake.
