Jakku is a desert planet where a major battle between the New Republic and the remnants of the Galactic Empire took place. At least two multiplayer maps set on this planet will be included in the free "Battle of Jakku" DLC on December 8, 2015 (December 1 for player who pre-ordered the game). This planet will also play a major role in the upcoming film Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens.
