Jedi

Introduction

In the Battlefront games, there are (majority) jedi/(minority) sith characters. In Battlefront I, they are monster NPCs, capable of deflecting rocket fire and surviving repeated grenade explosions. There is one for each side, just to be fair, but it is inadvisable to try to fight one as a noob. In Battlefront II, there is still a monster opponent NPC, but it is now possible to play as the jedi character for your side. The character depends on the map, but they all have pretty decent attacks.

NOTE: Sith are refered to as jedi in this article.

Fighting (Battlefront One)

Honestly, the best course of action is to just keep away from them. They don't actually affect that much, and you get more done if you ignore them. But if you really want to, then here are some tips.

1. Don't get into their range: If you get close enough so that they can hit you, you will die. No exceptions(ocassionaly if you are within their range, in a vehicle, they may try to kill one of your teamates but will miss and hit you. Your vehicle will now be on fire due to immense damage.)

2. Mines: Mines work really well; just put a few down, and then make him (its always a guy) run towards you. He will step on the mine, and get blown about 20 feet in the air. Its hilarious.

3. Grenades: Make sure theres a few guys on your side to keep him occupied for a few seconds, and then lob a few at him. Again, it's hilarious. The only down side (possibly) is that you kill a few of your own people.

4. Rocket Launchers: The key is to aim at their feet. If you aim it directly at them, they'll just deflect it, and it might hit you. This is going to seem repetitive, but they get blown ito the air, and its funny. Trust me on this.

5. Laser Turrets: Also the feet. Its really incredible what they can deflect, isn't it?

6. Uni-Bomber: As a sniper, send out your droid and activate its self-destruct. Make sure that its not under an overhang, and then sit back and watch as your opponent gets smited by orbital laser cannons.

7. Aircraft Explosion: This takes reasonable timing, and it most likely won't work well, if at all, but its hard to pass up the chance once you can do it. On stages where there are ships, fly at them and then exit the ship when you get close enough. The ship will keep going, and explode.

8. Run them over with vehicles: This kills them. YES!

9. Bespin: Platforms: Oh yes, another killer. When one is close to the edge of the platform throw a grenade or shoot at them with your lasers. They will fall to their doom. MHWAHAHAH!

10. Trapped!: By sending them flying with grenades, rockets etc you can trap the enemy Jedi in areas where they can't/won't rejoin the battle. This is better than killing them because they will not be able to respawn.

11. Landing: By getting into an aircraft you can land on the jedi. This also KILLS them!

Fighting (Battlefront II)

There are two ways of fighting jedi in Battlefront II-fighting against them and fighting as them.

Fighting against Jedi:

1. Explosives: By using explosives you can send them of ledges and other walkways into places such as the water on Naboo or other hazards.

2. Vehicles: Most vehicles can take down a jedi however exposed vehicles such as a speeder bike or even the turret on an AT-TE should stay away from jedi.

3. Turrets: When dealing with jedi deal with them fast as they are very fast and when you are in a turret you cannot dodge.

4. Mines: A mine can take down any jedi in one hit.

Playing as a jedi:

  • Every jedi fights differently so get used to how each jedi fights, by doing this you can maximise their potential power.
  • Use the right force powers in the right situation e.g. Force Choke is best used in a one on one situation
  • Use the force jump or levitate ability to reach different areas.
  • When fighting other jedi as a jedi, use abilities such as force push and force choke to stun the enemy whilst you move in for the kill...
  • Bear in mind that you cannot pick up health packs as a jedi. You only get health by killing enemies (you lose health for injuring/killing teamates and taking damage)
  • Remember that you are constantly losing health as you are a hero/villain.
