Kylo Ren is a standout hero on the battlefield. He is maneuverable, almost able to keep pace with Darth Maul. One of his more notable traits is his relatively high DPS. His Frenzy ability makes him strike quickly and can one-hit most of the default trooper classes or deal high damage to enemy heroes. His Frenzy can also chain to three separate targets. He can stop enemies in their tracks with Freeze and/or pull them to him using Pull. He works extremely well when applying his crowd control abilities to open up enemies for his allies.
If more then three enemies freezed, the duration is increases to: 3s / 3.25s / 3.5s / 3.75s
Pull: Kylo uses the Force to pull enemies ahead off their feet and towards him. However, Kylo must enter a short animation first, in which he is vulnerable. One of his star cards can increase the area of effect.
Freeze: Kylo freezes the movement of all enemies in front of him, immobilizing them for a duration. The freeze will end once the enemy is hit. One of his star cards can increase the area of effect.
Frenzy: Kylo leaps from enemy to enemy, striking them with his lightsaber. Multiple star cards can be used to improve this ability, adding to the distance traveled pre-strike, and the amount of damage per strike
Increased Kylo base Lightsaber damage from 100 to 125.
Increased Kylo base Lightsaber extra damage when attacking from behind from 20 to 40.
Increased Kylo base Frenzy damage on Heroes from 80 to 125.
Increased Kylo base Frenzy damage on Troopers from 80 to 150.
Decreased Bloodlust extra damage on Frenzy from 10, 20, 30, 40 to 5, 10, 15, 20.
Fixed an issue where reactivation of the Frenzy ability would be blocked for a short time, if it was activated with no target. The ability successfully remains on the same target until they are defeated. It swaps to a new target upon original target defeat.
Fixed an issue where Kylo Ren's first hit with Frenzy would not stagger targets, making it look like the attack had missed.
Fixed an issue where the Frenzy ability could be activated mid-air,
Fixed a visual issue where the duration of Kylo Ren's Freeze ability would not be synchronized with the grayed-out screen effect from the affected user.
Fixed several issues that affected the gameplay of Kylo Ren's "Frenzy" ability. It is now finding targets better and successfully doing multiple hits if only one target is available. If there are several targets, Kylo Ren will jump between them. A targeting system has now also been added for the ability.
As a result to above changes, the "Bloodlust" Star Card has now been changed so that Kylo Ren deals additional damage per strike, instead of increasing the amount of strikes. The possible total amount of damage that can be inflicted on a target is now 360 points.
1.2 Patch Kylo Ren had two of his Abilities on a 25 second timer, effectively making him less efficient and fun to play than other characters. As such, we reduced the cooldown for Pull and Freeze. We also felt he needed some damage absorption while being close to his targets, so we gave him some while Frenzy is active.
Pull - Reducing Pull recharge time from 25 to 20 seconds
Freeze - Reducing Freeze recharge time from 25 to 24 seconds
Frenzy - Kylo Ren now has 40% damage absorption while Frenzy is active
