Loot Crates are loot boxes featured in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II. Shortly after launch, this aspect of the game recieved major, widespread criticism for encouraging "pay-to-win" behavior. Their role in the player's progression in the game was significantly reduced in the 2.0 Patch.
