The New Republic appeared only in the last 3 Campaign mode missions in Star Wars: Battlefront: Elite Squadron, it is completely identical to the Rebel Alliance except that the "Jedi" class is available to X2 (the character you play as in all of the Elite Squadron campaign missions).
