Resistant is a status effect in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II that ensures the player will be able to use an ability without being interrupted by other abilities. It also occurs when the player has damage reduction.
Effect[]
The player gains the Resistant status effect when they are using certain abilities. When the player is Resistant as a result of using an ability:
- The player will be immune to crowd control abilities, which would otherwise take them out of the ability.
When the player is Resistant due to damage reduction:
- The player will receive less damage.
Caused by[]
The player becomes Resistant when they use the following Star Cards and unit abilities:
- Resistant when using an ability:
- All-Out Push (Obi-Wan Kenobi ability)
- Claw Rush (General Grievous ability)
- Resistant due to damage reduction:
- Battle Focus (Clone Commando ability)
- Claw Rush (General Grievous ability)
- Furious Resilience (Darth Vader Boost Card)
Indicators[]
The player can tell when enemies are Resistant by the following indicators:
- The word "RESISTANT" will appear above the enemy
Strategy[]
When the player is using an ability such as Obi-Wan Kenobi's All-Out Push, this status effect is primarily granted to a player to prevent them from being interrupted, thereby giving the player certainty that they will be able to finish using their ability. It is, by itself, not an offensive status effect.
