- This page is about the unit. For the skin in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront, see Scout Trooper (Appearance).
Scout troopers, also known as biker scouts, are troopers in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II that specialize in long-range combat. In Battlefront, they can be found as AI in Missions. In Battlefront II, Scout Troopers serve as the Specialist unit for the Galactic Empire.
Star Wars Battlefront[]
Overview[]
In Missions mode, they are the Empire's sniper units, armed with a pulse cannon and they will generally not use any other blasters unless they are pitted against an enemy at close range. Once the player achieves a large enough amount of points, the scout troopers will stop appearing.
In Survival, they begin to appear at Wave 4, and like the Demolition Trooper, their pulse cannon has no cooldown, meaning they can fire several consecutive shots without having to wait.
Unlike the original Battlefront games, the scout trooper's armor never changes.
In Skirmish, they have more health than stormtroopers despite their armor being depicted as lighter and offering less protection than any of their counterparts.

Trivia[]
- In Return of the Jedi, scout troopers use scout pistols. However in game they use SE-14Cs as their sidearm. This may be because scout pistols are not as powerful from a distance, and being a star card, there is a waiting period inbetween uses.
- They were one of the only five skins to appear in the films, the others being the Imperial officers, the Death Star troopers, and the stormtroopers, as well as the shoretrooper captain.
