The Scout Trooper is a sniper unit for the Galactic Empire used to pick off enemies from long-range. Their gun that has a double-zoom feature which allows you to get really close-up to the enemy. This means that you will have to aim ahead of the unit. However, make sure you get a head shot the first time or else you will give away your position to the enemy and he will move around, preventing you from hitting him. In Star Wars: Battlefront II, the Scout Trooper and his fellow sniper classes do not get a targeting reticule when not zoomed in-- but this is no hindrance to experienced players, who become quite good at 'shooting from the hip.' This unit is used in the Imperial Enforcer part of the PSP version of Star Wars Battlefront II. In level one you will fight Gungans, next you fight the powerful Jawas, third you fight the annoying Ewoks, and last you fight the valiant Wookiees. The Scout Trooper's Armour is changed to Snow trooper Armour on Hoth. (Equivalent- Assassin Droid, Rebel Marksman, Clone Sharpshooter)

Trivia

• The BCCK Thermal Detonator in the game uses the same skin as the normal Thermal Detonators.
• The SE-14R in the game uses the same skin as the ST-1 Pistol.
• The Standard scout trooper uses the skin of the scout trooper as an Imperial sniper a better choice would be the Imperial Navy Commando.
• In Star Wars Battlefront II's Galactic Conquest mode, the Scout Trooper costs 1000 credits to recruit into your Army.
• The Scout Trooper is trained to survive and complete missions far from Imperial Supplies, they must learn to forage. They can be snipers if they have to but are not trained to be.
• The Scout Trooper has the least amount of armor to allow full use of their legs and movement. They are some of the most agile soldiers in the Imperial Army.
• One Scout managed to dodge an Jedi's lightsaber attack thanks to his agility, he did die later from a blaster shot in Dark Horse's Star Wars Comic series.
