The Scout Trooper is a sniper unit for the Galactic Empire used to pick off enemies from long-range. Their gun that has a double-zoom feature which allows you to get really close-up to the enemy. This means that you will have to aim ahead of the unit. However, make sure you get a head shot the first time or else you will give away your position to the enemy and he will move around, preventing you from hitting him. In Star Wars: Battlefront II, the Scout Trooper and his fellow sniper classes do not get a targeting reticule when not zoomed in-- but this is no hindrance to experienced players, who become quite good at 'shooting from the hip.' This unit is used in the Imperial Enforcer campaign of the PSP version of Star Wars Battlefront II. In level one you will fight Gungans on Naboo, next you fight the Jawas on Tatooine, third you fight the Ewoks on Endor, and last you fight the Wookiees on Kashyyyk. The Scout Trooper's armor is changed to Snow trooper armor on Hoth. (Equivalent- Assassin Droid, Rebel Marksman, Clone Sharpshooter)
The BCCK Thermal Detonator in the game uses the same skin as the normal Thermal Detonators.
The SE-14R in the game uses the same skin as the ST-1 Pistol.
The Scout Trooper is trained to survive and complete missions far from Imperial supplies, they must learn to forage. They can be snipers if they have to but are not trained to be.
The Scout Trooper has the least amount of armor to allow full use of their legs and movement. They are some of the most agile soldiers in the Imperial Army.
On Hoth and Rhen Var, the Scout Trooper has the same skin as the Snow Trooper.
It is one of the few classes in the original games to have its loadout edited in the sequel.
Despite them having Thermal Detonators, they don't wear a container on their backs.
Scout Troopers are one of the few characters in the game that can kill enemies with one shot.
