Scout Troopers, also known as Biker Scouts, are an unlockable Imperial skin in Star Wars Battlefront. Their armor becomes more filthy the more the player dies as one. They first appeared in the final installment of the original trilogy, Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Scout troopers are soldiers in the Stormtrooper Corps who were often used for patrols and were used less than regular stormtroopers. They were noticeable for their use of speeder bikes, a vehicle which is extremely fast.

In Missions mode, they are the Empire's sniper units, and they never use their other blaster unless their target is up close. They disappear once the player gets a high number of points.

In Survival, they begin to appear at Wave 4, and like the Demolition Trooper, they can keep using the Pulse Cannon, so even if they miss, they can try again immediately.

Unlike the original Battlefront games, the scout trooper never has a change of armor.

In Survival, they can take more damage then stormtroopers despite their armor being lighter and offering less protection than any of their counterparts.

Trivia

  • Scout troopers are the only armored Imperial unit that is not based off of the regular stormtrooper armor.
  • In Return of the Jedi, Scout Troopers use scout pistols. However in game they use SE-14Cs as their sidearm. This may be because scout pistols are not as powerful from a distance.
