Scout Troopers, also known as Biker Scouts, are an unlockable Imperial skin in Star Wars Battlefront. Their armor becomes more filthy the more the player dies as one. They first appeared in the final installment of the original trilogy, Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Overview
Scout troopers are soldiers in the Stormtrooper Corps who were often used for patrols and were used less than regular stormtroopers. They were noticeable for their use of speeder bikes, hence their nickname.

In Missions mode, they are the Empire's sniper units, armed with a Pulse Cannon and they will generally not use any other blasters unless they are pitted against an enemy at close range. Once the player achieves a large enough amount of points, the Scout Troopers will stop appearing.

Trivia
*Scout troopers are one of the only two armored Imperial units that are not based off of the regular stormtrooper armor, the others being the Shore Troopers.

*In Return of the Jedi, Scout Troopers use scout pistols. However in game they use SE-14Cs as their sidearm. This may be because scout pistols are not as powerful from a distance, as well with a recharge.

*They were one of the only five skins to appear in the films, the others being the Imperial Officers, the Death Star Troopers, and the stormtroopers, as well as the Shoretrooper Captain.

This article covers information from DICE's Star Wars Battlefront series.   This article covers information from Pandemic Studio's Star Wars: Battlefront series.

Scout Troopers, also known as Biker Scouts, are an unlockable Imperial skin in Star Wars Battlefront. They are also known as Imperial Specialists in Star Wars Battlefront II and are the Specialist class for the Galactic Empire.

Star Wars Battlefront

Overview

In Missions mode, they are the Empire's sniper units, armed with a Pulse Cannon and they will generally not use any other blasters unless they are pitted against an enemy at close range. Once the player achieves a large enough amount of points, the Scout Troopers will stop appearing.

In Survival, they begin to appear at Wave 4, and like the Demolition Trooper, their Pulse Cannon has no cooldown, meaning they can fire several consecutive shots without having to wait, negating misses.

Unlike the original Battlefront games, the scout trooper never has a change of armor.

In Skirmish, they have more health than Stormtroopers despite their armor being depicted as lighter and offering less protection than any of their counterparts.
