Season

A season was a period of time in DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II that coincided with the release of a Star Wars film. Seasons 'celebrated' the release of a new Star Wars movie by adding content and in-game events inspired by it. Seasons lasted several weeks and included free content expansions, including new maps, heroes and villains, and other features, accompanied by a series of special events, including timed challenges, map playlists for game modes, and other celebratory features. Different seasons varied in content.

In August 2018, it was confirmed that seasons were discontinued in favor of a focus on "monthly updates" instead.^[1]^[2]
