The Stormtrooper is the new soldier unit of the 501st Legion. Evolving from the battle hardened Clone Troopers of the Galactic Republic, the Stormtrooper is armed with the powerful but inaccurate E-11 Blaster Rifle to destroy the enemies of the Empire. For the glorious campaigns on Hoth, and on Rhen Var the Stormtroopers of the 501st are equipped with Snowtrooper Armour. The fearsome Stormtrooper make up the majority of the Imperial army and usually takes the brunt of the fighting. The Stormtrooper is the equivalent to the primitive Super Battle Droid, Rebel Scum, and their own predecessors the Clone Trooper.

Trivia

• The BCCK Thermal Detonator in the game uses the same skin as the normal Thermal Detonators.
• The SE-14R in the game uses the same skin as the ST-1 Pistol.
• Stormtrooper armour, is made out of Plastoid. It is impervious to all damage given to it, including small arms fire, but its weakness is its bodyglove, where there is little or no protection. The armour was made to be last indefinitely, and on some planets 50 years after the galactic civil war, there are remains of stormtrooper armour, that haven't decayed or decompose.
• On Hoth in SWBFII the Stormtrooper is called the Snowtrooper however in SWBFI it is just called the Stormtrooper.
• In Star Wars BattleFront 2s Galactic Conquest mode, the Stormtrooper costs 1000 credits to recruit into your Army.
• Stormtrooper's are not the only Infantry of the Galactic Empire's Army in fact they are a corp of the Imperial Army that are actually answerable to the Emperor only. They can disobey direct orders from Imperial Generals if it conflicts with the Emperor orders them. They are trained to be emotionless killers, and unlike Imperial Army troopers they actually will not surrender unless they are horribly outnumbered.
• Stormtroopers Armor in the movies show that a single blaster from a DL-44 can kill however like trivia number 3, its impervious.
• Stormtroopers can survive in the vacuuum of space for 10 minutes due to a small oxygen reserve tank.
