The TIE Advanced is a prototype starfighter field tested by Darth Vader. It is only used in Star Wars: Battlefront: Renegade Squadron and Star Wars: Battlefront: Elite Squadron.
Description
This advanced craft has a set of large, angular wings, which set it apart from standard TIE Fighters. The aft of the TIE Advanced is also considerably longer to contain the limited life-support system and the improved engine. The support struts connecting the cockpit ball to the wings are much thicker than the standard, due to the additional space needed for the hyperdrive. Vader's craft is armed with two repeating blasters and two proton torpedo launchers.
