Tatooine is a sandy planet controlled by the Hutts, a well renowned clan. Although it is ruled by this clan, it is well known for its trading, podracing, and poor standards. As stated by Qui Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, it is a place where people do not want to be found.
