The Trade Federation is a mega corporation of commerce . It was made up only of Neimoidians and Droids . The Federation had it's own private Droid Army made up from different types of Battle Droid classes . It partnered with the Tehno Union and the result was the improved Super Battle Droid . During the Clone Wars , the Federation aided both the Republic , with weapons , and the CIS , with battle droids , being a neutral corporation . It fought beside the CIS and the Republic . 1 year after the Clone Wars' s end the newly reformed Republic , now the Empire , nationalized the Federation .
